Job Description:
The Department of Music at the University of California, Santa
Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers
who may be called upon to teach courses at the lower and upper
division course level. We seek applications from outstanding
candidates with relevant teaching experience who can teach various
ethnomusicology courses, which includes the Studies in World Musics
course series (Asia and the Pacific, Africa and the Americas, and
Central Asia).
Applicants with expertise in college-level teaching experience or
who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the Music
Department's undergraduate and graduate programs (Music Ph.D.,
D.M.A, and M.A.) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Internal candidates will be given priority consideration.
