Job Description Job Description Looking for a dog walker/pet sitter to add to the Bay Area Pet Pals team. Earn a competitive wage (paid per job) - we have employees that earn between $500 and $2,500 per month (depending upon their availability and client demand), plus two generous bonuses per year. Job rates average approximately $19-$34 per hour. We are a local family-owned pet care company on the Peninsula that has been servicing San Mateo, Foster City, Burlingame, Belmont, San Carlos, Redwood City, Atherton, Menlo Park and Palo Alto for over 16 years. Please note, we have a walk and pet sit route becoming available in the coming months in the Belmont, San Mateo, Foster City, and Burlingame areas. This is our immediate hiring need. Our employees come first because they are the front line in running our business successfully. We treat our walkers and sitters with gratitude, appreciation and respect - this is why most employees have been with us for many years. We have been in business for over 16 years. About you (in general): PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE REPLYING TO THIS AD First and foremost - a reliable person that loves animals, enjoys the outdoors and being active. Able to handle large, medium and small dogs. Live in the area of the above listed route coming available (or close to it). Legally authorized to work in the US. Able to pass a background check. Available for dog walks and cat sit visits at a minimum from Monday through Friday, from approximately 9am to approximately 3pm (most jobs fall within this time frame). Additional weekday hours and weekend work can also be assigned if you choose. Available to work partial days on some major holidays - these are our busiest times for pet sitting and also pay the highest wage. This is an ongoing, long-term, part-time position. We ask for a minimum one-year commitment. Have your own reliable vehicle, driver’s license and insurance. We have liability insurance, bonding, and worker’s compensation. We also provide paid training, pet CPR and first aid certification. We are not an on-demand pet service app. You will have steady work and a weekly route catered to your area and availability, with no long commute. You will visit the same dogs each week, which creates lasting relationships with your clients and their pets.
