professional development courses in Geographic Information and
Spatial Data Science including geographic information systems,
remote sensing, spatial data analysis, spatial statistics,
enterprise spatial databases and GIS programming (web and desktop);

spatial research initiatives, and broad engagement with the
professional environmental and geospatial community.
We seek a scholar who will teach introductory and advanced academic
courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional
development level that will help students prepare for, acquire,
analyze, and visualize spatial data with a focus on techniques for
solving complex geographic problems. Additional courses will be
taught in topical areas including but not limited to geospatial
software development, web mapping, enterprise spatial databases, 3D
systems, drones and aerial technologies, field-based surveying
systems, and geospatial server infrastructure and management. In

to develop scalable geospatial solutions is preferred. In addition,
the candidate should demonstrate an understanding of web-based
application development and should be able to validate experience

deployment of web application back end components including ArcGIS
Enterprise (Server, Portal, Online), enterprise databases
(PostgreSQL and PostGIS, SQL Server), geospatial web services
(ArcGIS Map, Feature, Image, Geoprocessing, Vector Tile, WFS, WMS,
WMTS), and administration via REST and the ArcGIS API for Python.
Knowledge and experience with Windows Server (2019, 2016, 2012)
administration, including Active Directory, considered a plus.
The position requires demonstrated excellence in undergraduate and
graduate teaching among a broad and diverse range of students,
