Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Location: Providence Petaluma Valley Hospital – Petaluma, CA Contract Type: 13-week travel assignment with possible multiple extensions Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) Start Date: July 21, 2025- tentatively Job Description We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join the Surgical Services team at Providence Petaluma Valley Hospital . This is a travel contract role offering a dynamic work environment within a community hospital setting. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and readiness of surgical instruments and equipment for various procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, and sterilizing of surgical instruments and medical equipment Manage case carts, preference cards, and accurate labeling and documentation Operate and monitor sterilization systems (Steam, Sterrad, Steris) Reprocess flexible scopes including colonoscopes, bronchoscopes, and EGD scopes Follow aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures according to hospital and regulatory standards Occasionally participate in on-call coverage
