Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include the
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure, which
allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient's

Community programs include a Mobile Wellness Clinic, a tattoo

In addition, and in accordance with our mission, Dominican Hospital
supports programs for the underserved in our community, including
children and adults, students, seniors, and the homeless
population. Dominican also has received several awards for
STAFF NURSE II performs the nursing process through assessment,
planning, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic care for
patients with overt and covert needs in supervised situations, for
the adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population. Performs
the nursing process for patients in more complex situations with
assistance and supervision. Assists with managing the patient care
administered by other member of the nursing staff. Assumes the
responsibilities of Primary Nurse and Team Leader.
Position Summary: (Unit Specific)
Delivers care to emergency and urgent care patients in the
Emergency Department and Urgent Care setting in accordance with
Federal and State regulations (Title 22 and EMTALA/COBRA).
At least one year of recent hospital experience. Proficient in
English. Verbal and written communication skills, and computer
skills required. Current and active CA RN license Current BLS
certification Unit specific certifications and qualifications:
* NIH Stroke Certification within 6 months of hire.
* MICN- required of all nurses who are in a charge capacity
* CEN- Certified Emergency Nursing certification preferred
* TNCC- Certified as Trauma Nurse Core preferred
