center, Dominican Hospital provides cutting edge cardiac care. The
hospital's heart attack treatment times consistently beat the
national average, and the hospital offers two cardiac
catheterization labs available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include the
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure, which
allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient's
chest.Dominican Hospital has forged significant partnerships with
area hospitals to bring exceptional care to Santa Cruz County. The
hospital offers a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
through a partnership with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital
Stanford. Neurosurgery at Dominican is also offered through a
partnership with Stanford Health Care.**In The Community**Beyond
care inside the hospital, Dominican is dedicated to the health and
wellness of the Santa Cruz community.Community programs include a
Mobile Wellness Clinic, a tattoo removal program, and support
groups for patients and new mothers. In addition, and in accordance
with our mission, Dominican Hospital supports programs for the
underserved in our community, including children and adults,
students, seniors, and the homeless population. Dominican also has

excellence.**Responsibilities****Position Summary**The home health
aide is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works
under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist and
performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the
patient's needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing
patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations
and care performed. The home health aide will be assigned in a
manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a patient's
care.Minimum:+ Has successfully completed a training and competency
program approved by CMS regulations and the state where practicing
(CA requires Certification by the Department), is currently listed
in good standing on the state registry program, and there has not
been a 24 month lapse in providing compensated services.+
Completion of a Home Health Aide training course is required.+
Current HHA certificate (CHHA) required.+ Current BLS certification
required.+ Current & Valid Driver's License with proof of current
insurance is required.**Preferred:**+ At least one (1) year of home
care experience, or acute care or skilled nursing facility care
experience is preferred.**Qualifications**Has successfully
