Job Description:
/PROJECT: The individual will support the development of a
Resource and Portfolio Management System within TDS. This role will
provide hands-on experience in business operations, project
coordination, and process improvement, contributing to initiatives
that enhance efficiency and strategic planning across the
organization. Key Responsibilities Assist in building and
implementing a Resource and Portfolio Management System, including
data collection, analysis, and documentation. Collaborate with the
extended TDS leadership team to streamline resource allocation and
portfolio tracking processes. Contribute to equipment utilization
projects, including data analysis and reporting to optimize lab
operations. Prepare presentations, reports, and dashboards to
communicate progress and insights to stakeholders. Optional:
Participate in engagement opportunities related to the TDS FUN
Committee and GREEN Employee Resource Group, if interested.
Required Skills: Strong analytical skills for data collection,
interpretation, and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Excellent written and verbal
communication skills for preparing reports and presentations.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the
ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to collaborate
effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to process
improvement. Interest in Engagement & Sustainability: Enthusiasm
for participating in employee engagement activities and GREEN
initiatives (optional but valued). Desired Skills: Familiarity with
resource and portfolio management tools, such as Planview,
Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or Monday.com, etc.) Experience
with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI,
Tableau). Basic understanding of resource planning, portfolio
management, or project coordination. Experience with equipment
utilization analysis or business process optimization. Ability to
adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications/Eligibility: A 3rd or 4th year Undergraduate student
or Master’s candidate pursuing a degree in Business, Operations
Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
Demonstrated interest in business operations, strategic planning,
and process improvement. Must be available to work full time, 40
hours a week. Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at
an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the
fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated
within 1 year of the start of the program. Must be able to relocate
if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of
the internship for on-site, hybrid roles. Benefits of a BioMarin
