This respected and stable non-profit hospital is actively interviewing candidates for a Health Information Management (HIM) Operations Manager. Join an amazing team and tenured leadership as they strive to maintain superior operational efficiency for this Central California health system.Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the HIM Technical Operations Manager will play a crucial role in improving efficiency and operations for the Medical Records Department. Supported by in-house coding auditors, clinical documentation integrity (CDI) professionals, and a terrific staff, the Manager will provide direction and leadership.Leading this team, the Health Information Coding Manager will find a supportive environment, where the teamwork of everyone is valued. While the bulk of your work will be office-based, you'll have opportunities to visit the clinics, hospitals, and health centers to evaluate logistical and technical efficiency. This will also help you ensure that all information exchange and communications are in compliance with Federal and State Regulations (such as HIPAA).The Health Information (HIM) Operations Manager will also lead the charge in converting some satellite facilities to EPIC EMR System from paper based records. This means a strong background in document imaging and EMR conversion governance, particularly with EPIC, will let you hit the ground running in this role. Utilizing a popular enterprise-level data centralization tool, you'll take an active part in implementing ROI policy development, HIPAA privacy and record retention, and departmental oversight of related activities.Home to affordable housing, a tightknit community, great schools, and some of the most beautiful views California has to offer, Central CA is a great place to put down your roots.
