foundation.Position Summary:The Manager of Financial Analysis
supports SFF's long term financial health and financial management
by evaluating financial results, advising budget managers,
developing financial models, assessing risks, and presenting
results to support enterprise level decision making. This position
does not currently manage people but it does manage projects, such
as projecting the foundation's spending plan, project managing
elements of our budgeting and year-end processes, and supporting
the implementation of a new budgeting software. The manager plays a
key role in our financial planning processes, communications, and
systems.BoundariesThe FP&A team is responsible for all aspects
of financial planning including designing and implementing the
org-wide budgeting process, developing, and analyzing financial
projections, training and advising colleagues on financial results,
transferring assets between funds/accounts/budgets, creating
resources to support staff's financial management, and liaising
with all departments across the organization.AuthorityThis position
reports to the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and
collaborates extensively with the two Financial Analysts on the
FP&A team. The FP&A team partners deeply with the other two
teams within SFF's Finance unit -- the accounting team and the
Investments team - and this role interacts with colleagues in all
departments across the organization.Tasks
- Designs and maintains clear and effective financial models,
analyses, reports, and resources that showcase financial management
and inform strategic decision making.
- Provides analytical expertise, technical support, and ongoing
training to department budget managers and their assistants
regarding their financial management questions and requests.
- Prepares and presents financial results, projections, and memos
to various audiences spanning from new staff to our Board of
Directors.
- Actively supports and provides guidance to our Financial
Analysts with reviews, collaboration, coaching, etc.
- Develops operating cash flow forecasts for liquidity planning
and prepares periodic journal entries to move assets.
- Monitors our financial systems and partners with Accounting,
Operations, and other departments to ensure data integrity and
accuracy of financial data.
- Develops, leverages and maintains documentation of our
financial policies and procedures.
- Actively participates in process improvement conversations,
team building projects, and other initiatives as requested.
- Participates and engages in cross-departmental activities that
may be outside the incumbents' core work scope that are linked to
the North Star of the organization.Competencies & Qualifications
- 5+ years working in finance/accounting, with experience in fund
accounting and/or grants management being quite beneficial.
- Very strong analytical, customer-service, communication,
presentation, time management, and project management skills.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, with particularly
advanced capabilities in Excel for creating financial models.
- Adept at developing strong cross-departmental partnerships with
colleagues across a wonderfully diverse organization.
- Intermediate to advanced computer/software skills, including
Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, & Teams) and zoom.
- Ability to learn, navigate and manage online platforms,
including Fluxx, Qlikview, grant making and CRM systems,
Smartsheet, and Salesforce.
- Solutions-oriented, proactive, inquisitive, responsive, and
conscientious team player with a growth mindset.

competitive total compensation package including base compensation
in alignment with our organizational budget size and rich medical
and fringe benefits offerings. This position pays $5585.66 per pay
