Job Description Job Description Engineering Technician – Electronic & Electro - Mechanical Assembly (Aut omotive) Location : Foster City , CA ( Onsite – Lincoln Centre ) Pay Rate : $ 40.00 / hour Schedule : Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM ( 30 hrs / week ) Contract | Two - staged online & onsite interview Role Overview We are hiring an Engineering Technician to support electronic hardware development, electro-mechanical assembly, and prototype testing for automotive applications. This role focuses on rapid prototyping, low-volume production builds, and engineering lab support, enabling fast design iterations across the product development lifecycle. This is a hands-on lab-based position supporting cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-precision environment where quality, safety, and schedule adherence are critical. Key Responsibilities Perform electro-mechanical assembly of electronic hardware from engineering prototypes through short-run production Support engineers during new product development (NPD) to optimize manufacturing and assembly processes Develop and execute alternative assembly techniques to resolve build and design issues Conduct final product testing per written procedures and engineering documentation Perform quality inspections as a designated Quality Delegate, reviewing work completed by other technicians Accurately follow process documentation, schematics, drawings, and work instructions Use standard lab tools and equipment to support hardware validation and testing Communicate clearly and proactively with engineers and lab team members Maintain clean, organized, and EHS-compliant workspaces Ensure consistent attendance, punctuality, and schedule reliability Required Qualifications (Must have) High School Diploma or GED 3–5 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly or engineering lab environments Proven experience assembling and testing electronic hardware in low-volume or prototype manufacturing settings Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and build documentation Proficiency using standard assembly tools, including:Soldering irons,Cutters, crimpers, torque tools, Pin insertion/removal tools Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and signal generators Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Clear verbal and written English communication skills Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and basic data entry systems Preferred Qualifications ( Nice to have) Technical training in soldering, trade school, or formal on-the-job training (OJT) Experience supporting automotive, robotics, or autonomous vehicle hardware programs IPC certifications (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001) Prior experience acting as a Quality Delegate or inspection authority How to Apply Submit your updated CV and complete the screening questions.
