The BMS V&V Engineer is responsible for HW and SW/FW test
strategy, verification, and validation of full BMS to be used in
the Energy Storage System (ESS) by HIL and custom test methods. The
Engineer will collect requirements and develop test architecture
and infrastructure for HIL and other test systems. The position
works closely with other HW / SW / Cell Engineers within the
Battery team, as well as other multi-functional team members, to
develop test requirements, share findings, and successfully release
designs. Supernal provides an inviting open-space workplace

core values. This position is required to work on-site 5 days a
week. What you can do: Develop high-level and detailed BMS HW/ SW
integrated test environment & architecture Develop System/module
level test strategy, test cases, and test plan for functional and
certification requirements per standards Develop HIL test system
and integration with Simulink environment, along with developing
test cases Develop automation test scripting for test cases by
using different automation platforms Communicate and provide
solutions for challenges within the system Select test equipment
and implement verification and validation test processes Use the
HIL system to verify BMS HW, SW, and Algorithms at the system level
Develop Test scripts for BMS HW testers and Regression tests of ESS
or Modules for BMS validation Working with HW and manufacturing
teams on testing, validation, and factory build support Test BMS HW
for sophisticated HW/FW interlaced tests to support BMS EE Design
Engineers Up to 10% of domestic and international travel Other
duties as assigned What you can contribute: Bachelor's degree in
electronics or electrical engineering with a software engineering
focus required; Master's degree in a related engineering field
preferred A minimum of three (3) years experience in HV battery
testing and validation using HIL systems in the automotive,
consumer, or aerospace industry (an equivalent combination of
education and experience may be considered) Experience in
specifying, installing, and efficiently using test infrastructure
and HIL system for functional verification of HW/FW/SW/Algorithms
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, MATLAB, and
Simulink Proficiency in using scripting tools like Python Knowledge
of functional safety critical testing Knowledge of different
communication protocols such as SPI, Ethernet, and CAN Knowledge of
interfacing HIL systems with Simulink-based battery models and
real-time RT or NI Test stand-based environments Familiarity with
safety-critical component testing requirements Ability to develop
collaborative networks Excellent technical communication and
ability to interpret data for resolution and decision-making.
Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up Excellent
organizational skills and attention to detail Successful ability to
work both independently and within a team. Proficiency with MS
Office Suite, specifically for data analysis, document creation,
and reporting You may also be able to contribute: Understanding of
DO-178C / DO254A/ DO 160G compliance for HW/ SW development and

may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and
location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of
