Job Description:

The Art & Design: Games & Playable Media Program (AGPM) at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of visiting professors (at the assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor ranks). We seek candidates with a multidisciplinary orientation who are experienced with game design as both an artistic and an activist practice. Possible related areas of research and teaching might include interactive art, social practice, board games, role playing games, experimental animation, visual design, interactive audio design, interface design, and interactive narrative.
We seek experienced, accomplished artists/scholars preferably with teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels. All visiting professors ranks are expected to engage in research or other creative activity; teaching; and University and public service. Selected candidates will serve as full members of the AGPM Program and must be able to work successfully with students, faculty, and staff from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds.
