Job Description:
The Mathematics Department at the University of California,
Santa Cruz expects to hire a visiting assistant professor, subject
to availability of funding. Under the direction of the Mathematics
Department Chair, the visiting assistant professor will contribute
to the undergraduate and graduate programs and the research
activity of the department. Research, teaching, and service
expectations are typical for early-career faculty at a research
university and are on par with the department's permanent assistant
professors. Visiting assistant professors are eligible for a full
suite of University of California benefits.
Preference will be given to candidates whose field of research
aligns well with the department's research activities. Current
areas of research can be found at . Visiting assistant professors
are matched with a mentor from our permanent faculty for career and
research guidance.
