Job Description:
My client is a leading systems provider in Santa Cruz County.
They are looking for Controller with strong leadership and
accounting management skills. This position requires someone with
strong skills an analysis, policy and procedure creation and
implementation, establishing system controls and financial
reporting standards, and corporate budget development and
oversight.As the Controller you will also:* Recommend benchmarks to
measure the company's performance* Oversee all external audit and
reporting requirements* Prepare monthly and annual operating
budgets* Provide guidance on pricing decisions, pricing
structure/formulas and contract negotiations* File quarterly and
annual reports* Monitor the financial performance of the company*
Develop and manage financial controls* Maintain a system of
internal controls to ensure compliance with best practices* Issue
financial statements and presents at regular meetingsWhat you bring
to the client:* A strong blend of leadership and management - you
can lead a team, establish expected departmental goals,
expectations and standards.* An ability to turn teams around to
work collaboratively and collectively towards a common goal* A
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or
equivalent mix of education and experience* 5+ years as a manager
with a track record of developing employees* CPA or CMA designation
