Duties of the Claims Reimbursement Counselor include timely claim submission, claim status, collection activity, appeals, payment posting and/or refunds, review of patient insurance benefit information, submission of insurance forms, research of claim denials, escalation of customer complaints, correspondence between multiple departments, and the overall production of exceptional customer service. Qualified candidates typically exhibit great attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, mathematical skills, accounting knowledge, understanding of payers, and general understanding of pharmacy operations/medical claims.
